Alexander Joseph Luthor is the New Liberty nominee, a famous entrepreneur and business magnate from Delaware. Much of Luthor's platform is built on technological and environmental progress, proposing a moratorium on fossil-based fuels and replacing them with nuclear and electric energy, ensuring morphological freedom of citizens to obtain cybernetic augmentations and creating government subsidies in nanotechnology research, artificial intelligence and space exploration. He has expressed support for decriminalising Venom for medical purposes (such as for treating hay fever and eczema), withdrawal of U.S. troops from Qurac, a legal status for undocumented immigrants and replacing estate tax with a land value tax. One of his most well-known policies is the Food for All Bill, a proposed piece of legislation which would introduce small, low-cargo teleporters called 'TelePads' which would transport excess leftover food from people's homes to food banks. Many of his positions are based around deregulation (especially of the tech industry) and cutting government spending, with support for replacing Social Security with individual retirement accounts and privatizing government agencies such as the USPS.
Another of his key stances is accountability for vigilantes and metahumans misusing their powers, he has encouraged a revised version of the controversial Keene Act from the 1950s which required vigilantes to register their true identity with the government or else be considered criminal. After concerns were raised by his statements on the Keene Act, he reclarified that their identities would remain private information and that his version of this law would only be mandated to ensure that those operating as vigilantes were working in the public's interest. His opposition to vigilantism is no secret however, and he has supported investing greater technology in law enforcement so they can more competently deal with super-powered crime. In particular, he has suggested that privatizing sections of initiatives such as the SCU in Gotham and the Science Police in Metropolis could equip them better than public funding.
Democratic Party
Martin Carlos Suarez is the Democratic nominee, a Senator from Arizona and former Secretary of Homeland Security in President Harrison September's administration. Some of his key domestic policies include expanding on the Health Reform Act (otherwise known as Septembercare) to allow a public option, regulating the tech industry further to combat job displacement by automation, and support for a gradual demilitarization of the U.S.-Mexico border. Suarez has also stated plans to reform the criminal justice system to scale back the privatization of prisons, make it easier for convicts to re-integrate and ensuring that felons are franchised to vote after completing their sentences. The Senator supports legal recognition of other species, and wants to establish diplomatic relations with other realms such as Themyscira and Atlantis.
On foreign policy, Suarez has pledged that the military government of Santa Prisca will face sanctions for its human rights abuses, with plans for a trade embargo. The policy proposal led to the soft drink company Zesti Cola to withdraw their funding, as the cola nuts used for their product are grown in Santa Prisca. On the ongoing conflict between Pokolistan and Bialya, the Senator has expressed a desire for the United States to remain neutral, explaining that the military should instead concentrate its efforts in Qurac.

Republican Party
Robert Nathaniel Ridgeway is the Republican nominee, the current Governor of Iowa and former Senator. Ridgeway has pledged a number of key domestic policy issues, such as expanding rights for gun owners (particularly expressing support for the Stand-Your-Ground laws), a policy ensuring that employers maintain a minimum 20% human workforce, a rollback of climate regulations, a number of protectionist policies to promote local industry (especially in agriculture) and an increase in funding for border control.
Unlike his main opponent, Ridgeway has explicitly stated that as President he plans to back Pokolistan in its conflict against Bialya and intends to build military bases there. He is well-established as a staunch interventionist, supporting the continuing military presence in Qurac. Along with supporting tougher punishments for illegal immigration, Ridgeway believes the only way to prevent immigration from Central America is by expanding the Merida Initiative to give the US military a direct role in aiding the drug war in Mexico. He considers Russia to be a threat to global democracy, and believes that America should station bases in Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic States to demonstrate America's unequivocal military support.
